System Requirements

It is recommended that the RTO PinPoint® Analysis Engine run on a dedicated server . In general, the CPU and memory requirements are determined by the number of servers to be monitored, and the number of metrics that are to be collected from each application.

Hardware and operating system requirements

for 1-50 monitored servers:
• Shared or dedicated single processor workstation class computer
• 2.8GHZ processor, 800MHZ FSB
• 1.0 Gig memory
• Microsoft 2K Professional, XP Professional, 2K Server, 2003

for 50-200 monitored servers:
• Dedicated dual processor or single with dual core technology workstation or server class computer
• 2.8GHZ processor(s), 800MHZ FSB
• 2.0 Gig memory
• 2K Server, 2003 Server
for 200-500 monitored servers:
• Dedicated quad processor or dual with dual core technology server class computer
• 2.8GHZ processor(s), 800MHZ FSB
• 2.0 Gig memory

for more than 500 monitored servers:
• For large-scale enterprise solutions, RTO will provide specific hardware recommendations that will ensure optimal performance.
