This month’s highlight is Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) as we just wrapped up in London at VM ‘08 – the UK’s first Virtualization Expo event where I presented at the Education Programme on best practices in desktop virtualization: Managing a Virtual Desktop, and we’ll have more on VM ‘08 for you coming soon.
 
Even with all the VM ‘08 activity, we certainly haven’t forgotten the wildly successful VMworld event just weeks ago in Las Vegas. What a turnout!
 
Some VMworld highlights:

• RTO made the list of honest vendors on The Frugal Networker’s blog in his write up on Vendor Honesty. We are very proud of being recognized for both our innovative products and honesty with prospective partners and customers.
• VMworld drew in record attendance of over 12,000 people at this year’s event.
• Everyone is into Cloud computing, and it’s not just pie in the sky.
• Plans are in the works virtualization technology for mobile devices and gadgets, including the iPhone.
